Sutton Oaks, a residential community consisting of 102 colonial style homes and a private park,
is located in Chantilly, Virginia, approximately twenty miles from the National Capital of
Washington, D.C. The homes were built beginning in 1986 and continued through 1993. The builders
were NVHomes and GBI.
Morning Dove Park is the private community park which consists of a walking path, basketball courts, a gazebo and
a tot lot. It is the location of several of our activities during the year.
There is an annual "Easter Egg Hunt" in the Spring and a "Halloween Parade" with a walk through the
haunted woods and pumpkin painting in the Fall.
An annual summer picnic with a moon bounce, snow cones for the children and frozen drinks for the adults is always a
cool treat for the hot summer! Adults also enjoy a wine and cheese party in the gazebo during the "wine season."
SOCA (Sutton Oaks Community Association) conducts an annual meeting the first Tuesday evening in May at
Rocky Run Intermediate School.
